Hope you’re all staying healthy. Even as we seek a vaccine for a physical ailment such as the COVID-19, let’s take a moment to think about the social problems that ail our society. Many of the migrants we saw walking back home hundreds of miles to their villages in India during the lockdown are from marginalized communities. Alas, the challenges and discrimination they face are not new but life-long. Their anguish is also centuries old, as can be heard in this song by Mahar mystic Soyarabai.
