Pranamamyaham – Ranjani – Misra Triputa – Mysore Vasudevacharya

Mysore Vasudevacharya was a 19th century composer whose compositions, mostly in Sanskrit and Telugu revealed a great acumen in all aspects of carnatic music. Here is a composition in ragam Ranjani set to the uncommon Misra Jathi Triputa talam (11 beat) describing the attributes of Anjaneya or Hanuman. The recording is from a concert for Bangalore Lalithkala Parishad at National College, Jayanagar with Smt Lalgudi Rajalakshmi (violin) and Shri B.K.Chandramouli (mridangam).
