Carnatic in Corona Times – Episode 3

Hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Researchers and scientists are working round the clock looking for a vaccine. This isn’t the first time we’ve faced such a challenge in human history – we’ve had diseases such as smallpox and polio in the past and we overcame them. The rest of us are coping in various ways – some of us are picking up or going back to old hobbies. Others find themselves meditating or praying. Many centuries ago the Bhakti mystic Purandaradasa had appealed to a higher power in his song seeking a cure from ailments. As we remember this song let’s not forget to seek a cure from not just physical ailments but also negativity and prejudices that can cloud our mind.
